OMNI-VOICE

Work-in-progress — currently seeking commissioning & producing partners.

A celebration of past, present, and future voice, OMNI-VOICE is the world’s first performance-installation to use collected voice data, AI voice, and vocal performance to drive a digital world. The modular multimedia work champions the power of the human voice and its key role in defining new relationships with technology, nature, and humanity.

‘Omni’ means ‘all’ — when observing the impact of voice it extends to every facet of being human. Our voices influence everything around us.
— Reeps100

Amplified by our collective adaptation in the midst of the isolation demanded by a global health crisis, the human voice is more precious than ever as a conduit between individuals—shifting to center stage as a key connective tissue for community and empathy. The personal nature of voice has been instrumental in the rapid adoption and growth of newer mediums like ClubHouse, thanks to the stronger ties to nuance and emotion in voice compared to written communication.

The experience highlights the proliferation of voice-tech and its role in disrupting social media, data collection and entertainment as it  embodies human and artificial voices in a series of 'living' real time visualizations. OMNI-VOICE draws from thousands of voice samples, cutting edge vocal technique, and artificial composition, creating a vibrant audiovisual spectacle that challenges the norms of music, the performing arts, and creativity.

This visual manifestation of voice underscores that our relationship with technology hinges on our ability to open up, speak up, and connect in new ways, and affirms that our voices are the gateway to a future harmony with technology.

Have you seen an AI embodied in movement and light? Or a voice trigger the dreams of a machine? Have you ever spoken to an AI? OMNI-VOICE empowers us to experience human and artificial voices in harmony like never before—and witness firsthand how our voices change the world around us.
